For many, driving to and from work, school, appointments, etc. has opened Pandora’s box to “sub”-par food decisions. However, a Pennsylvania chain is attempting to change the narrative that busy people can’t eat quick and fresh meals.
GetGo Cafe + Market, a convenient concept from multi-format food retailer Giant Eagle, offers a wide-ranging menu of made-fresh-to-order foods including custom-made subs, burgers, breakfast sandwiches, smoothies and expressos, and more.
After adding a location in Carmel last October, the chain is continuing to expand into Central Indiana with the addition of four new Indianapolis-area locations. The expansion will create more than 150 jobs.
Dittoe PR was tasked with raising awareness about the expansion and did so in star-studded fashion.
Alongside the GetGo team, Dittoe PR helped plan and execute “sub-cutting” ceremonies and charitable sub-building challenges involving community members at two grand openings in Plainfield and Rockville Road in Indianapolis. Adding even more excitement, celebrity chef and renowned restaurateur Michael Symon joined in the grand opening celebrations.
While Dittoe PR coordinated on-site media opportunities, Symon diced up subs and welcomed hungry customers at both locations. In total, Dittoe PR’s effort resulted in 22 media placements including the Indy Star, FOX59, WISH-TV, Indy Style, WIBC and RTV6 – with more to come. Within a couple days, media placements totaled more than 2 million impressions.
