Position Summary

Dittoe PR’s Social Media + Digital Marketing Coordinators play an active role in supporting the agency’s social media and digital marketing clients through strategy execution and administrative tasks. At the discretion of client team leaders, key responsibilities include research, metrics reporting, daily management of organic and paid social media, social and email copywriting, and more. This is an entry-level position with emphasis on learning agency best practices and growing social media and digital marketing skill sets to support long-term career growth. 

This position requires a well-rounded social media skill set that our team is committed to helping cultivate with foundational knowledge of additional digital marketing areas, such as Google Ads, Meta advertising, email marketing, and graphic design. Basic knowledge of or experience in public relations and/or marketing is preferred as our teams work closely to develop and execute integrated, holistic strategies. The Social Media + Digital Marketing Coordinator position is considered an entry-level position best suited for recent graduates or those seeking a career shift into agency work.

Essential Job Functions + Responsibilities*

  • Lead administrative support on a select roster of social media and digital marketing clients.
  • Support daily client communication and participate in client and agency calls/meetings.
  • Assist with reporting social media and digital marketing analytics and campaign performance.
  • Aid in the copywriting, scheduling, and management of published content for organic social and paid platforms. 
  • Support social media video creation (e.g., Reels) and graphic design for select clients.
  • Attend and support content captures (images and video) for organic social media.
  • Support email marketing efforts, as assigned.
  • Support the execution of social media advertising strategies, budgets, and calendars. 
  • Lead community management for organic social media, including social listening, follower acquisition, response and engagement tactics, and more.
  • Conduct research initiatives that support social media and digital marketing strategy and tactics.
  • Collaborate with tenured team members and work directly with agency interns on select project assignments.

Skills + Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in journalism, digital media, marketing, or a related program is required.
  • Foundational knowledge of social media management and all major platforms is required. Additional knowledge and experience in digital marketing, social media advertising, email marketing, and graphic design are preferred.
  • Preference will go toward those with strong internship or relevant entry-level experience in social media, marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience writing both long- and short-form copy.
  • Proven ability to be creative and problem-solve.
  • Ability to communicate well both in written and verbal forms.
  • Can work independently as well as collaboratively with multiple teams within the agency.
  • Basic knowledge or experience in creating visual assets – including designed graphics, social media video, and the like.
  • Experience in platforms such as Sprout Social or similar, Canva, CapCut or similar, Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Meta Business Manager, MailChimp or similar, Google Ads, and Google Analytics is preferred.
  • As a full-service public relations agency, experience or understanding of PR and media is a plus.

Additional Expectations

  • Maintain knowledge of the changing social and digital landscape. 
  • Maintain a basic understanding of client industries and current events as they apply to clients. 
  • Contribute as needed to agency initiatives outside of account work (e.g., Dittoe PR blog writing, agency committees, and more), when available and as desired.
  • This is a full-time, salaried position; salary will reflect the level of experience upon job entry. 
  • In a fast-paced industry, team members will juggle multiple clients and competing deadlines.
  • Occasional evenings, weekends, or travel may be required as job duties demand. 
  • Being based in (or relocating* to) Central Indiana is preferred, but not required.

*Relocation costs are the responsibility of the candidate, if needed.
