Position Summary
Digital Marketing Managers work closely with the social media and digital marketing team to develop and execute successful social media and digital marketing strategies on behalf of the firm’s social media roster.
DMMs are key drivers in social media and digital marketing execution, with emphasis on digital marketing services like digital ads, Google Ads, email marketing, and social media advertising. Organic social media, community management, content creation and other skills will support client success. Collaboration with social media and PR team members is critical to supporting overall strategy and achieving client goals and objectives.
Job Functions & Responsibilities
- Responsible for supporting (often leading) social media execution and producing consistent, impactful organic and paid social media content strategies.
- Collaborate with teams to prioritize and delegate weekly assignments and client deliverables.
- Support timely, day-to-day client communications, both written and verbal.
- Play a key part in the onboarding process for new social media clients and contribute to strategic plan development and presentation.
- Lead social media content creation, including select graphic design, as needed.
- Lead social media advertising efforts, including creation of ad spend calendars, campaign ideation, and management of advertising launches on all channels.
- Make strategic ad spend recommendations and manage clients’ advertising budgets.
- Lead the development and management of Google keyword search campaigns and Google Ads or digital ad campaigns.
- Lead email marketing campaigns within Mailchimp or a client’s preferred platform, including concepts, timelines, template designs, segmented lists, and more.
- Lead social media coordinators and social media interns, alongside social media team members and supervisors.
- Contribute to the review process for client deliverables, ensuring they are client ready.
- Support (often leading) ideation for social media content, new social campaigns, graphic design and the development of these items.
- Play a key role in reporting efforts on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Support or lead results-driven influencer relations campaigns, inclusive of strategic planning, identifying target influencers, developing tailored partnership agreements, supporting execution, and more.
- Support business development team on a limited basis, as it relates to digital marketing service lines, by attending select meetings, assisting in scope of work and proposal creation, and contributing to account team planning decisions.
- Ability to educate and train agency team members on digital marketing services for both awareness and execution.
Skills + Experience
- This role requires 3+ years of professional experience in social media and digital marketing management. Agency experience or experience managing multiple brands’ channels at once is a plus.
- A bachelor’s degree in journalism, digital media, marketing, or a related program is required.
- Knowledge of digital marketing, social media management, email marketing, and social media advertising strategy and tactics on all major platforms is required. Platforms most frequently managed include Meta Business Manager, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, and TikTok.
- Demonstrated success in social media campaign and strategy development as well as results-driven execution.
- Strong and versatile copywriting skills are a must.
- Candidates should have a proven track record in developing strategies and managing successful social advertising and digital marketing campaigns across applicable platforms.
- Demonstrated knowledge of social media metrics and analytics reporting and understanding of how to apply measurement to future strategy.
- Experience leading local and regional influencer relations is a plus.
- Experience with video content creation, as it relates to social media (Reels, TikTok, etc.).
- Ability to communicate well both in written and verbal forms.
- Self-motivated and results-driven with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with multiple teams/contacts.
- Experience managing people is preferred and servant leadership attributes are required.
- Experience and understanding of public relations and media relations is a plus.
- Experience in platforms such as Sprout Social or similar, Canva, InShot or similar, Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Meta Business Manager, MailChimp or similar, Google Ads, and Google Analytics, is preferred.
