It’s that time of the year again! For Spring 2025, we are seeking up to two public relations interns and one social media intern. This is a full-time or part-time hourly, paid position and includes additional perks such as professional development opportunities, a thriving company culture, a remote-first working environment, team outings, and more.
Internship Positions Summary
Dittoe PR interns contribute to agency/client success by supporting the execution of public relations and social media strategies and business development initiatives (as applicable to assigned internship positions). This means real, hands-on work that builds your portfolio and directly impacts agency/client results. Interns are mentored by seasoned team members and work closely with the agency’s entire staff, from account coordinators to our leadership team.
This internship is for detail-oriented self-starters looking to develop a well-rounded skill set in an energetic and challenging environment. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills (both verbal and written), initiative and creativity, as well as feel comfortable juggling multiple projects and deadlines.
What we look for in all interns:
- Actively enrolled in or a recent graduate of a university journalism, business, public relations, strategic communications, marketing, advertising or other related program.
- Previous professional or relevant internship experience.
- Solid, versatile writing skills in both creative and technical fields.
- Able to be professional and personable in written and verbal communication.
- Demonstrates attention to detail and good judgment.
- Smart, creative, assertive and innovative individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible and willing to collaborate with teams.
- Proven ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks and competing deadlines.
Public relations intern responsibilities:
- Work closely with the PR team to support PR client goals and objectives.
- Draft compelling content such as press releases, media pitches, blogs and more.
- Build comprehensive press lists for local, national and trade media.
- Support media relations execution including pitching, media monitoring and more.
- Participate in agency meetings, professional development and brainstorming sessions.
- Handle research and analysis projects in support of client objectives as needed.
- Assist with client and business projects as needed.
- Assist with administrative duties as assigned by staff.
Social media intern responsibilities:
- Create and schedule social media content for clients across a variety of industries and channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X and LinkedIn.
- Support social and influencer relations research and execution.
- Support content capture (photo and video), if and when opportunities arise.
- Support execution of social listening, follower acquisition, and select social media advertising tactics.
- Participate in agency meetings, professional development and brainstorming sessions.
- Handle research and analysis projects in support of client objectives as needed.
- Assist with client and business projects as needed.
- Assist with administrative duties as assigned by staff.
