PUBLIC RELATIONS COORDINATOR
Position Summary
Dittoe PR’s PR Coordinators support proactive execution of public relations strategy and administrative tactics alongside agency client teams, with emphasis on research, media relations, and content creation. PR Coordinators are expected to drive results while being guided by account leads on strategy and goal-setting.
This position requires a well-rounded public relations skill set that Dittoe PR is committed to helping you develop and strengthen during your tenure. Essential Job Functions + Responsibilities*
- Support execution of impact-driven PR strategy alongside agency client teams, informed by the strategic direction and goals set by account lead, and collaborate with teams on day-to-day efforts.
- Lead administrative support for agency client teams.
- Support comprehensive research projects, such as competitor or situational analysis, market research, award and speaking calendars, editorial calendars, media research, and more that supports the development of strategy.
- Support media relations efforts alongside account teams securing consistent, impactful media coverage that aligns with set goals. This also includes press list building, pitch writing, coordinating media opportunities, creating media prep sheets, and attending select media opportunities.
- Support content creation, with an emphasis on press releases, media advisories, blog posts, social media copy, and other content.
- Support client communications, both written and verbal, with emphasis on cyclical communications and coordinating media opportunities.
- Support reporting efforts by leading real-time media tracking, helping manage media dashboards, and contributing to the development of quarterly and campaign reports.

Skills + Experience
- This is considered an entry-level PR position best suited for recent graduates or those seeking a career shift into agency PR. Internships in public relations are a plus.
- A bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, business, marketing, or a related program is required.
- Foundational to intermediate knowledge of the editorial process and how to work with media.
- Strong and versatile writing skills and knowledge of AP Style.
- Ability to communicate well both in written and verbal forms.
- The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with multiple teams/contacts.
- Experience in platforms such as Microsoft Office, Muck Rack (or similar), Critical Mention (or similar), and other public relations or business tools are a plus.
Additional Expectations
- Maintain knowledge of the changing media landscape.
- Maintain a basic understanding of client industries and current events as they apply to clients.
- Contribute as needed to agency initiatives outside of account work (e.g., Dittoe PR blog writing, agency committees, and more), when available and as desired.
- This is a full-time, salaried position; salary will reflect the level of experience upon job entry.
- In a fast-paced industry, team members will juggle multiple clients and competing deadlines.
- Occasional evenings, weekends, or travel may be required as job duties demand.
- Being based in (or relocating* to) Central Indiana is preferred, but not required.
