Two Seattle-area high school caddies awarded Chick Evans Scholarship through the Western Golf Association

The Western Golf Association just awarded full, four-year housing and college tuitions through its Chick Evans Scholarship to two Seattle caddies. The scholars will begin college this fall as Evans Scholars, attending the University of Washington. The Seattle Times reports that Shawna Zhou of Lakeside School and John Marks of Bothell High School were awarded the scholarships based on their strong caddie record, excellent academics, financial need and outstanding character. There are currently 870 Evans Scholars at 18 universities across the U.S., and more than 220 from Washington have graduated as Evans Scholars.
