Ten Oregon high school caddies awarded Chick Evans Scholarship through the Western Golf Association
One of the nation’s largest privately funded scholarship initiatives – conducted by the Western Golf Association – just awarded full, four-year housing and college tuitions through its Chick Evans Scholarship to ten Oregon caddies. The Oregonian reports that the scholars will begin college this fall as Evans Scholars, with most attending the University of Oregon in Eugene. One Scholar, Chase Enloe, will attend Northwestern University, in Evanston, Illinois. The Chick Evans Scholarship awards scholarships based on a strong caddie record, excellent academics, financial needs and outstanding character. There are currently 870 Evans Scholars at 18 universities across the U.S., and more than 200 from Oregon have graduated as Evans Scholars.
