Football athletes from Minnesota put best skills forward to try out for Team USA
Middle and high school football players who have dreamed about representing their country in international competition had the chance to show they could last weekend when USA Football hosted one of its 24 Regional Development Camps. For two days, more than 120 athletes convened at the National Sports Center in Blaine, Minnesota to try out for Team USA. Players had the opportunity to show their skills through individual drills, as well as 1-on-1 training and 7-on-7 situations. While coaches were looking for good football players, they were also looking for great young men to represent the United States. KARE-TV, the NBC affiliate in Minneapolis was able to share some behind the scenes footage of the camp with their viewers.
